Keelin and Nic’s love story began the way most do these days, on a dating app. After a few days of text exchanges where Nic sent pictures of his dog, Brasco, and immediately revealed that he was the father of two, Keelin decided she was excited to meet Nic and they set up their first date at a Thai restaurant in Hollywood. Keelin couldn’t believe that Nic looked even better in person than he did in his modeling photos on Hinge, and was even more surprised that Nic’s personality was equally as attractive. Nic couldn’t believe he met a girl in LA who had no dietary restrictions. They spent 4 hours talking that night and the couple sitting beside them asked how long they had been dating. Keelin was pleasantly surprised (and mildly disappointed) that Nic did not try to kiss her after their first date. But not to worry, they quickly set up a date for the following week, where she aggressively kissed Nic on the cheek before he rode off on his Harley.

After four dates out and about in the real world, Covid decided to rear its ugly head and the world shut down. They decided to buckle up and spend every waking moment together doing puzzles, making meals, and watching movies. The first time Keelin called her parents to tell them she met someone, she was surprised that her mom approved that she was dating this 6’3” dad of two, who rode a motorcycle, and had tattoos. Keelin didn’t mention Nic also had a pitbull at the time, because she knew that would be the deal breaker. And boy, she was right! But don’t worry, Keelin’s parents came around.

On April 6, 2020, which also happened to be Keelin’s 30th birthday, Nic let it slip that he was in love with her. Keelin was too nervous to say it back at the time, but after a night of restless sleep, Keelin realized she was also very much in love. The next morning, she said it back. That day, Keelin took off for Paso Robles, CA to spend lockdown with her family and was devastated to say goodbye to her new boyfriend. However, after only a couple weeks, and 3 Covid tests requested by Keelin’s mom, Nic was able to meet her family for the first time. Nic quickly became part of the family and on the next trip, even Brasco was able to join.

Fast forward to January of 2021. Nic told his kids about Keelin and she was able to make her first trip out to Joliet, IL to meet Kailana and Koa. The first weekend they all spent together was a dream. Keelin got to experience fresh snow fall and freezing her butt off, Chicago-style. They went sledding in the park, tubing down the alley’s behind Nic’s mom’s house, and built snowmen in the backyard. It was no surprise that Keelin instantly fell in love with Nic’s family and they all went above and beyond to make her feel accepted. It’s no wonder that Keelin rarely misses a weekend with the kids four years later.

In 2023, Keelin and Nic decided to move in together and uproot their lives from the mean streets of Weho and Hollywood and they relocated to their new suburban life in Westchester. Nic spent many hours fixing sprinklers and gutters, Keelin tried her best to decorate the house with the furniture they had, and Brasco realized his favorite place in the world is his backyard. You can find him rolling in the grass and soaking up the sun for hours daily.

On April 6, 2023 Nic popped the big question in a super-bloom field of wild flowers in the Central Coast of California and Keelin immediately said “YES!” Shortly after, Nic brought her to a surprise engagement-birthday party where all of Keelin’s friends and family were waiting for them.

Keelin and Nic can’t wait to be surrounded by all their loved ones on their big day!
